Security CTF (Capture the Flag) competitions have nothing to do with paintball or shooter games, but they are awesome to learn hacking. Mostly a CTF is a collection of hacking related challenges. They vary in their difficulty and can teach you a lot of new skills.
Typically the goal is to hack into a system and find the flag. The flag could be a textfile containing some keywords or numbers which can be assigned to the challenge. The harder it is to successfully complete the task, the more points you can get.
Rules
We want the challenges to be fun for everyone and everyone should be able to participate.
Therefore we have the following rules:
- No Brute Force Required
- Please do not Attack or DOS our Server
- Don't troll, spam, flood in the chats
- Collect as much flags as possible
- Please do not publish spoilers or solutions
- Flag Format: ctf{H4ck3r_T3xt}
